Expansion: New Delivery Center at Bucher

Bucher will have ready the new delivery center in March 2008. With this expansion Bucher will package all products in a new hall. In April 2008 Bucher will have additionaly 1000 sqm storage space and also 1000 sqm production space.

Bucher was pleased to close a very successful 2006 with an order from Lufthansa. A new fleet of 15 Airbus A321 aircrafts will be equipped with Bucher galleys, stowages and partition walls. Buchers reliability over the past years, as a twin aisle galley supplier for Lufthansa, played a key role in the decision making process.

TAP Portugal selected Bucher to design and manufacture galleys for
its 5 Airbus A330-200 aircrafts with deliveries taking place
between August 2007 and February 2008. The decision was based on
Buchers reputation for a consistent, high quality standard and
lightweight galley design.

Interjet has selected Bucher to supply the galleys for 10
A320 aircrafts, with option for 10 additional A320.
|

The Italian operator Air One has selected Bucher as supplier for galleys and stowage units for the new A320 aircrafts. A total of 30 ship-sets will be delivered from July 2006 through 2009.

AIX 2006 in Hamburg was once again the meeting point of the
aircrafts interior industry. The original stand concept provided
an inviting atmosphere for the presentation of the new light weight
trolley as well as latest galley designs. Over 300 contacts in
3 days underline the recognition Bucher has achieved in the market
place. Bucher has also presented a new Galley concept: Movable
Galleys or self-service for drinks and snacks.

In order to accommodate the growth in market share, we have
just completed the expansion of our manufacturing facility. An
additional assembly area of approx. 1’000 m2 allows the optimization
of processes in the galley assembly as well as the increase of
our manufacturing capacity by 40%. Additional we have also completed
the expansion for engineering and meeting area on the second floor
(800 m2).

Bucher is pleased to have started delivery for two of the newest airlines in India - Kingfisher and Air Deccan. The Bucher galley systems provide the flexibility that is welcomed for the build-up of an airline that has set out to meet the customer’s expectations to the fullest.

Bucher is pleased to announce the expansion of our production facility in Fällanden, Switzerland. The new 1’000 sqm. production plant will help improve logistic processes as well as reduce lead times to meet the new demands from aircraft suppliers.
The new production space will be completed in the early stages of 2006. This marks a major step in the growth of Bucher Leichtbau AG to a global player in the aircraft interior supplier
market.

First Aid Module for inflight treatment of medical emergencies
After international competition, Airbus have selected Bucher Leichtbau AG, Switzerland, as the supplier for special equipment to be installed on the Airbus A380 test and certification aircraft, MSN 002 and 007.
On both aircraft, the equipment will installed aft of the rear door LH on the Main Deck. For MSN 002, a general purpose stowage will be installed, for MSN 007, the stowage will be combined with emergency medical systems to form a Medical Area or First Aid Module.
The First Aid Module combines Bucher's galley/stowage technology with the EMS systems developed by Bucher and is designed to allow for in-flight treatment of medical emergencies on the A380.
Bucher already produces galleys and stowages for Airbus twin-aisle and single-aisle aircraft, as well as the 16g NGS stretcher system for medical repatriation for airline customers worldwide.
