Medical transport systems for a major carrier in the Middle East
After international competition, Saudi Arabian Airlines
have selected Bucher Leichtbau AG as the supplier
to replace their present portable medical transport systems with
the Bucher 16g NGS stretcher system.
Saudi Arabian Airlines are the lead customer for a special «XL»
version of the 16g NGS system, redesigned to allow for fitting
over the large seats used by the airline.
The existing stretcher systems will be replaced over a period
of 1-2 years, the first 14 units scheduled for delivery in November
2003.
The main selection criteria for Saudi Arabian Airlines were engineering
performance, quality of finish, flexibility for LH and RH installation
on the aircraft, and the noticeable ease of the installation and
removal process.
We are proud to have been selected to provide our state-of-the-art
system to Saudi Arabian Airlines, and look forward to providing
other major airlines in the region with this product, recognised
as the leading product in the field.

Medical transport systems for a major European carrier
After international competition, Air France have selected Bucher
Leichtbau AG as the supplier to replace their present medical transport
systems, which no longer fulfil airworthiness requirements, with
the Bucher NGS stretcher system. Criteria for selection were product
quality and durability, ease of handling and maintenance, low weight
and of course a reasonable price/performance ratio.
120 units have been ordered, the largest single order ever received
or issued for this product, for delivery between October and December
2002.
Air France has 3-4000 medical transports every year, this large
number due to the many destinations Air France serves, as well as
the French insurance system, which covers repatriation for individuals
on scheduled flights.
The contract also includes maintenance, routine hygienic service
and repairs after each flight, which Bucher will subcontract to
Nordisk Aviation at their Paris CDG station.
We are proud to have been selected to provide our state-of-the-art
system to Air France, and look forward to providing other major
airlines with this product, recognised as one of the best in the
EMS business.

Bucher Leichtbau AG has been selected by debis AirFinance to be
the baseline supplier of galleys and stowages for their forward
order A320 family aircraft.
The galley systems are modular and are based on the Leasing Company
Concept developed by Airbus together with major leasing companies
allowing for maximum flexibility within short lead times.
Low weight, minimum footprint, design flexibility and low maintenance
costs all played a role in the selection, together with a good price/performance
ratio and the inherent structural stability and safety aspects offered
by Bucher's all-aluminium design.
The contract was signed during the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2002
in Hamburg.
