Heinrich Bucher was one of the pioneers of the civil aviation industry in Switzerland. In 1953 – at a time when the airlines were still in their infancy – he founded Bucher Leichtbau AG in Fällanden. The company proved its economic success with constant expansion. Today the company has over 100 employees active in engineering, production and in sales/marketing. The company produces galleys and stowages for international airlines, EMS interiors for helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, and video deployment systems for B/C and F/C aircraft seats. Recently, the company has branched out into the autobile sector with aerospace based technology used for video arms and folding tables for luxury cars.
